Screen Printing Showrooms

So you’ve got your business set up and people are coming into your store. When they get there what do they see? Is your customer area a representation of your brand? Does it look welcoming? Does it look professional? In this article we discuss the screen printers showroom as a tool.

Why is a screen printing showroom important?

A marketing showroom is important because the business uses it as a tool. It’s not just for picking up and dropping off jobs. A screen printing business needs a way to display the types of products they sell. The screen printing business needs to use the space to build trust and excitement with their potential customers. The customers will want to have confidence that you can complete their job and it will look good.

What should a screen printing showroom look like?

A screen printing showroom needs to be able to display a lot of different types of blanks, as well as a lot of methods of printing. You want to show that you do t-shirts, hoodies, sweatpants, and jackets. If you sell mugs or other merchandise then you want to show that. All of these items need to be clearly displayed. It is also helpful for them to be displayed where the person who takes orders can see them clearly. The order taker will be able to show the customers what they are talking about and point out all of the options that can be created.

You should have some seating in the showroom. There will be some clients that just can’t stand for long periods of time. It doesn’t need to be a lot of seating, but at least one or two would be sufficient.

You will also want to sell items in your showroom that are already printed and available. Cups with witty sayings. Shirts that are ready to go out the door. Whatever you can get in there to sell will help with cash flow.

If you do local printing for schools or universities then display some of their products. It will go a long way in branding you as the type of business that is trusted in the community.

This also goes without saying that your showroom must be neat and clean. If there are restrooms then they also need to be neat and clean. It is, after all, a showroom. It needs to show well.

What If You Don’t Have A Showroom?

In this day and age it is not always necessary to have a storefront business. It is possible to have a business without all of the overhead of a business location that is customer facing. If this is the case then it is important to have a virtual showroom. The clients need to see your work and all of their options. Think of your website as a virtual showroom. It needs to have the same look and feel that you want for your business. It also needs to maximize the products that are available for sale. It must show your blanks and your pricing. It needs to speak for you when you are not there to speak for yourself. The website needs to have contact information and a way to submit artwork if you plan on selling directly from your website.

The Final Word on Screen Printing Showrooms

Your customer area is not just a waiting room. You can use it as a tool to enhance your business. You can display your products. You can show your great work. You can sell your own products yourself. Use this room as a tool to generate sales.
